The Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Forum Program
On February 22-23 2012, the Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Initiative held the first renewable energy forum with leading experts and policy maker. The forum was conducted in an in-depth workshops format on subjects concerning renewable energy, oil substitutes for transportation, energy efficiency, smart grid and promotion of innovation. Consequent upon the forum, position papers were issued and a process to support the achievement of Israel’s energy goals was kick started. The results of the process will be presented to the public at the influential Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Conference in November 2012.

2010 - The 3rd Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy conference
In 2010, Guests and delegates from the all around the world came together to create an upbeat and productive working environment that has lead to various collaborative projects around the world.
The 3rd Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy conference was attended by around 1800 leading Renewable Energy professionals from government, business, academia and NGOs.
Following the presentation of the regional vision for energy independence through clean energy in 2007 and initial achievements in renewable energy deployment in 2008, the second conference in 2009 gave the Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Initiative much encouragement that partners and supporters would continue to rally round the flag of energy independence via renewable energy.

The 2010 conference focused on renewable energy tactics, means and current fieldwork in preparation for the next critical stage – massive application of Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation as an immediate and comprehensive solution to the energy crisis in Israel and globally.

2009 - The 2nd Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy conference
The 2nd Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy conference was held on February 17-19,2009 in Eilat, Israel. The previous one in 2007 was a great success. The three days conference has illustrated that a new energy future is possible in Israel in general and at the Eilat- Eilot region particularly. More than 950 guests and delegates from the US, Europe, Africa and the Middle East attended the conference and 34 companies exhibited at the exhibition, created a fruitful working atmosphere, we got great feedback for the content and business connections made at the conference as well as for the organization and the settings. Leading Renewable Energy figures from the government, businesses, Academy and NGOs attended the conference and the lectures halls had only standing room even in the late evening hours. The Eilat Eilot Renewable Energy project received great exposure at the conference and in the press and got renewed recognition as the leading RE project of Israel.
